This is a very well known verse, but have we really considered the weight that our fruit carries?

The precepts here touch on identifying a kind of person by their fruits (behavior/works), but one thing we know is that there are multiple levels with scriptures...

We need to measure ourselves with these fruits - are we reflecting the image of the Most High? Like, really?

A parable to refer to in your reflection of just how serious the Creator is about our fruits is found in Luke 13 where the owner of the vineyard is about to throw the fig tree in the fire because after 3 years it does not bear fruit. The servant begs the owner to give it one more year and will nourish it during that time to see if the tree will bear fruit or not.

You see, while the Most High is merciful, and His love endures forever (Psalms 136), He has called us to come OUT of the rotten fruits (1John 2:16, Romans 12:2) and to be apart of the Good Olive Tree (Romans 11).

Remember, apart from HIM we can do no good thing - cling to HIM like your life depends on it, ‘cuz it does!
